The dryer was chosen by the Builder.
It seems like a good dryer as it dries the items I put in, but lint gathers all along the door, every single use (trap is in front of door and is cleaned after ever use).

With all the new advancements in dryer/washer technology it is complete tranquility to know that the simple mechanical ones still are being made. This is a great dryer and completely reliable. I have been using the simple dryers for over 3 decades with no issues. And if the issues come up know that you can do the fix confidently yourself. This is after the regular warranty expires. I did not get the matching washer since my existing one is still kickin' but if I needed a washer I would definitely get it too.

My old dryer was taking too long to dry my clothes. The heating element was going bad. I opt to buy a new one since the one I had (Maytag) was almost 21 years old. It was never worked on in those 21 years. I would have gotten another Maytag but they didn’t have a 26.5 size in stock, only GE model came in that size. So far I really love it, just hope it last for 21 years as well.
