The different dryness settings are a nice feature. Prevents over drying or scorching of clothes. Great for clothing that would otherwise shrink.

Fine product, Bad location/size of lint catcher

Wish I bought one like I had before with lint catcher on top of dryer and door that opened down instead of to the side. Aside from that, no complaints.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Dryer

Love the modern style of the dryer, the plethora of dry settings, extended tumble time and the alert button. The lint filter works great too. What I like the best though is that my clothes are not wrinkled when the drying cycle is complete.

The dryer is easy to use and instructions are very clear. My clothes come out fluffy and dry. I like the lint filter in the door.

It does exactly what I wanted it to do dry my clothes. I’ve had the fancy dryers the dryers with all sorts of bells and whistles, but bottom line all I wanted to do is dry my clothes. And this does the trick every time, so far.! The only thing that I can even think of that I would like changed on this dryer is that the door shuts very hard and makes a very definite closing sound. But that is such a minimal issue when all I really wanted was the machine to dry my clothes!

I purchased this dryer to replace my 12 yr old GE dryer which was very similar.I like the additional settings and it seems to dry my clothes faster too! Happy to say my old dryer still works so it's getting passed on to a family member. Love the straight forward no nonsense design and it looks great next to my new GE washing machine.

New GTD42 Dryer

Completely happy with my new GE GTD42 Electric Dryer. The dryer and washer set are a great upgrade to my 30+ year old washer dryer set. Great quiet machines, and I'm expecting a better electric bill too.
