The knob for the timer is prone to breaking

I have had this dryer for over a year. Just a few days ago, I have been unable to turn the knob to choose a dryer cycle. I went to You Tube to see if there was a fix for this since I can't afford to call a repair man, and sure enough, there are lots of comments of how grateful people are that this certain gentleman made a video showing that you just need to buy a new knob. So I am here making sure I have the right info to be able to order a new knob. Other than that, it has been a good dryer.

Smart dryer

I trust GE appliances. I replaced a GE electric dryer that lasted 25 years! I purchased a GE "smart" dryer. The dryer can sense when clothes are dry & advance the dial to end drying. WOW!

Worst dryer I've ever purchased in my life. Laundry takes forever to dry. Have used an extended spin cycle on the washer, changed the duct from the dryer to the wall and cleaned out the duct from the wall to the outside - nothing helps. If I had extra money I would trash this dryer and purchase another non GE product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the simplist dryer we could find. Still has many features. Good capacity, dries well first time. The latch for the door is not smooth.. don't know if it is a flaw or not.
