Very Nice Dryer

This is a very nice Dryer. I have used GE appliances throughout my home. My new dryer has the directions of use on the top panel and is easy to operate. The drying time is accurate and gets my clothes done without any wrinkles. There is also a button that can be turned on if I am busy and can not get to the dryer when the cycle is done that will turn the dryer on and off so that the clothes do not wrinkle. The alarm that tells you the drying time is over is adjustable as well and the sound can be heard anywhere in the house, which is very good in my case, due to the dryer in the laundry room on the 1st level. I would highly recommend this dryer.

GE makes a great product. I have always bought and depended on this company for all of my appliances because they are just that, dependable. They are built to last, and living in a household of 6 people I need a product that can withstand the heavy workload. Thanks for making a great product!

Great dryer!

This dryer is great. There is only one issue. The installation manual shows step-by-step how to reverse the door, which I needed to. The hinge screws came out of the one side well enough, but putting them in on the other side didn't go well. The Philips screw heads started stripping and the holes are tight. Overall the dryer is a keeper!

oh yeah, it's a dryer
it dries clothes well
it's bigger than a lot but not as huge as the LG BIG UNIT
hopefully it won't suck like the Electolux janke thing that ate heating elements

All-in-all a good machine with a couple of caveats

Bearing in mind I purchased this dryer about a month ago, there are a couple of issues I've noticed. Nothing that's a deal breaker because overall it seems to be pretty good.
First, there is a bit of a learning curve if you're stepping up from an older, simpler to operate machine. It's taken a few loads to work out the best settings, particularly for heavy towels.
Next, the selection knob isn't very precise, several settings don't have a definitive notch for lack of a better word. You have to get it close and them hit the start button a few times to find the right spot.
Last, and this is a minor problem even though it's irritating: switching the door to open the opposite way proved to be a challenge. The screws holding it on are extremely tight and unfortunately, not very good. They strip very easily. One of the screws on my dryer needed to be drilled out and replaced. It was so tight I couldn't remove it with a screwdriver in combination with a pair of vise grip pliers. That said, it may only be a problem on this particular unit.
Still, it's a good value at the price.

Love my new dryer

We decided to upgraded our dryer when our washer died mid January. WOW, the technology has changed! Somehow my clothes come out of the dryer less wrinkled!!
