This is a versatile dryer with lotsbof options for drying. Large tub and tumbles clothes without compressing them so my h.

Good choice for the money

This is a nice drye, quiet and efficient. Minor drawbacks - dial a little hard to turn & door does not stay fully open even though the unit is perfectly level.

We purchased this dryer 4 months ago. It joined a GE top load washer ( model #2800DOWS) we purchased 5 years ago. The washer was an excellent choice for us - good features, flawless operation, excellent value. When the time came to replace our old dryer, we decided to look for a GE product that would be a companion to our washer. I researched the GE dryer offerings and selected the dryer we purchased based on features we wanted, in the price range that I thought would give us good value, and where other purchasers found a high level of satisfaction. Just as with our washer, we found that we got a combination of good features, flawless operation, and excellent value. On top of all that functionality and value, the new dryer almost looks like the companion model to our washer even though they differ in age by 5 years. We would definitely buy this dryer again.
