Love that it’s not full of electronic buttons

Just installed this dryer three days ago. We actually bought a Maytag first and returned it, because the top of the dryer was beveled and you couldn’t set anything on it without it falling off. This dryer has a flat top design which we love. I almost went with the next step down due to price, but didn’t because it didn’t have a “low” heat setting for delicate items and I use that often. Glad I stuck with the model I did. I love that it has old school dials and not all the electronic buttons. To me that’s just more stuff that can go wrong. Heats quickly and efficiently, but does seem a little louder than my previous dryer, but I’ll get used to it. I do like that it was slightly larger than most competitors 7.2cubic feet vs 7.0, but the overall unit was still narrower than our old dryer giving us a bit more space in the laundry room despite being larger in capacity space, the vent is on the inside so no more dust all over the top of the dryer when you pull out the vent to clean it and the price was affordable. Hoping this lasts us for years to come. I’m giving it 4 stars for three reasons:
1) The signal to alert that the cycle is done is VERY LOUD and VERY LONG (I’ve even adjusted the volume and it’s still too loud, but I want to know when it’s done so I’m keeping it on the lowest buzzer setting. We counted and the signal buzzes for 11seconds!)
2) The door is hard to shut, but it’s new so hopefully it starts wearing in a bit and becomes easier.
3) The vent is hard to remove and insert, but again it’s new so it could just be sticking in the beginning.

I love my dryer and the features it offers. I like the de-wrinkle feature the best. When I have something that is wrinkled when I want to wear it I put it in the dryer and set it at dewrinkle and it really works. Takes a very short period of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my washer. It does such a wonderful job washing my clothes. Easy to operate. This is a GE washer and I had never had one before.

Dryer not performing properly

The dryer is not working very well. A medium to large load takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to dry. I’m trying to figure out who to contact to get the dryer checked out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
