Basic Dryer ... Great Results

We had a high-end steam Samsung Washer and Dryer ... they had features that turned out to be useless and both failed after four years. We opted for the basic GE washer and dryer. The dryer does a great job of drying our clothes and removing lint, The controls are straight forward. The extended tumble feature keeps the dried clothes from wrinkling, and the volume of the end-of-cycle alarm is adjustable so we can be on a different level of our home and still hear it. Great job GE!!

Not 5 star because I see a lot of lint under the lint trap.... don't know if design error or I need to clean out our ducts from our last dryer. BUT IT DOES DRY WELL. I have the matching washer and I can put my largest load in and it dries it very good. So I'm pleased because my other dryer I couldn't put a lot of clothes and had to sometimes spin it twice. Depressing.

Our old gas dryer died just before we moved, and we had to buy a new one. Our new home doesn't have a dryer gas hookup, so we needed an electric. This was a near-match to the washer we had bought a couple of years ago. It seems to be very efficient, but, if we had our choice, we'd rather have gas. That has nothing to do with the quality of this electric dryer. We're happy with it!!
