works well, but the door seems to not close sometimes. The dryer is quite quiet and since I have turned off the timer noise, I am more at peace. That noise is very loud. Hopefully this dryer will be working for 20 years without any problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased in October of 2022. It quits heating in November of 2023. We followed all rules about cleaning lint etc. Pitiful

Great sales help from appliance store, with prompt delivery and installation of washer. Roomy inner drum. Would have been a 4-star washer except the washer in action is TOO LOUD and can be heard throughout my two-story home...it's an annoying sound when it's doing its job. Ugh!

Hello- We are so happy to hear your sales associate was nice and helpful. It is also nice to hear the delivery and installation went well for you. A drumming noise during agitation is caused by air being pushed out of the basket towards the outer case. This causes the cabinet to flex in and out, which may sound like someone is beating on a drum. This is considered normal operation. Please take a look at our site to actually listen to normal sounds. If you don't believe this is what you are hearing, we recommend that you take advantage of your warranty and reach out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Thank you!

It's an okay dryer for the price.

I cleaned the inside of the dryer before use and found that the metal parts inside the dryer had black residue that came off on the cleaning cloth. I eventually removed all the residue. Also, the first time I started the dryer it was very loud but with more use it seems to run a little more quietly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Also, black marks on clothing may be the result of the collar or cuff rubbing between the dryer drum and drum slides. This may occur if the dryer drum slides are worn or a felt seal is mispositioned or defective. We recommend getting one of our technicians out to check this. Dryer that does not dry

This dryer does NOT dry! Having a service call on 12/4/23... I want a new dryer...one that drys !!!!

Hoping for another 23 yrs.

My old GE dryer was just great and lasted 23 years. It was a no frills , no special bells and whistles to go wrong. Based on that, I wanted the new one to be a simple one also. This one so far is doing just fine. Of course , as everything you buy now, it does have a few added features I don't need. Hope it will be as good over time as my old standby.
I would recommend this to a friend!
