Decent dryer but read the instructions

The dryer has only had 5 or 6 loads dried in it. The unit does dry textiles well. We did have to read the instruction because the dryer is not as intuitive to operate as the unit that was replaced. Between the light and the gray interior, it is dark and hard to see inside. The moisture sensor cycles don't seem to work well. Setting "Optimum dry" for sheets and the sheets were very dry and the dryer was manually stopped. On our unit, the door does not latch easily.

You Get What You Pay For

The GE front loading washer and the clothes dryer are designed poorly and use parts that don’t last. Three of four shock absorbers in the washing machine had to be replaced (($$$) within 2 years of purchase. No matter how well the machine is leveled, the spin cycle rarely completes unless I redistribute the weight. (I never overload the machine.)
The dryer issues are not as complicated, just requires lots of drying time for small loads. Both machines are headaches.
