Dryer knob problems

We have had problems with the dryer timer knob. It has either been stripped or quit working numerous times. We ordered a replacement knob but it didn’t work either. I We like the dryer when it is working but the knob not working right is a big problem. The dryer will not start until you hopefully get the knob to function. We have the matching washer and it has worked fine?
It’s been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our second GE dryer! Our first one we got in 1996 just died this month, so we purchased a GE again and we like it a lot, runs quite! Hopefully we get the same results from our new one! Keep up the great work!

While it’s still early in the game, I have yet to experience any of the problems others have mentioned and I don’t have a bad word to say about this dryer. The GE dryer that it replaced gave us 16 years of daily use. Hoping for same!
