GE basic dryer in white with inside light in drum

Like the new dryer. It is quiet. However, I am confused by what the instructions said to do to install the vent, the installation guy did NOT follow what the instructions said which is to NOT put a curve in the vent. Yet that is what the installer did. So I need confirmation about the PROPER vent installation - curve/bend or straight vent? Also, I don't blame the dryer but myself in figuring out the dryer controls to get my towels all the way dry. I am sure I will figure out the proper setting. I love the inside light in the drum and I love that the lint filter is inside the door and not on the top. I would prefer that the door be a drop down rather than a side opening door.

This dryer is simple and has simple features but is SO GREAT! It dries fast, no issues at all. It was simple for installation. Everything about this dryer is wonderful !!

I am glad to see that GE still has the individual knobs on some of its appliances instead of the digital push buttons. I have always trusted the GE family of appliances for my home, for the quality and dependability.
