The Knob

Dryer is great, except for the main control knob. Cheap plastic that breaks yearly and won’t turn the crazily-difficult-to-turn selection stick. Seriously underdesigned concept here.

Better than my expensive front loader

After using an expensive front loader, this is much better!! The settings are straightforward with no unnecessary buttons, settings, etc. I appreciate how the cottons and casuals settings slowly cool down before ending, this allows my cotton clothing to actually sit in the dryer until I am able to unload them without becoming wrinkled!! This has been a major win at my house!!! My front loader didn’t do this!
I would recommend this to a friend!

New dryer stop drying

This was my first new dryer that I bought and I have had nothing but problems. This is the 3rd time the dryer doesn’t heat dry the clothes. It’s the same problem each time. It melts a wire. I have changed the settings and it still happens.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dryer is two years old piece of junk. Destroyes clothes leaves grease from the drum. I guess this is a really big problem but ge doesn't care. Sad they can't produce a dryer that works. Also I had a ge fridge that only lasted 5 years l.

Avoid: This dryer eats your clothing

I’ve had this dryer for under a year, and it has bitten holes in all my favorite knit shirts and bottoms, some of which I’ve only worn a couple times. I’ve been a GE customer for 30+ years, but now I am beyond frustrated and will never buy a GE appliance again.

All in all a good set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasted for 10 years before it gave up the goat, and that's in a family household. So there was a lot of laundry. My extended family used it quite a bit as well, and hey, the washer, it's still going a year longer. It's on its last leg, but it's still going. So all in all a good set for today's standards.
