Simple, but great features

This was a replacement for previous GE dryer that gave us great service. Simple without all the bells & whistles but does a great job drying clothes and quiet operation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Filter a disappointment

I have this dryer for six months and wish that I had kept my old one (not a GE). It was twenty years old but I wanted to match a new washer and dryer. The filter does not seem to collect all the lint. The gasket around the door has some of the debris and so I have to make sure that it is cleaned. I wonder just how long the gasket will last. My previous dryer had the lint trap on the top not on the door. It does dry my linens and clothes satisfactory. My problem is with the filter placement. It does not do the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this several months ago because it was the only brand and model that would fit in the space vacated by our 20-year-old dryer. I have regretted the purchase. It is loud. Unless you're right there when it beeps, your clothes sit in the drum until you can get to it to hang them up. Also, unless you put the actual minute timer on, the clothes never get dry. Poor design and poor features. Whatever happened to basic drying features? In addition, it looks like the designer thought the outside should be aero-dynamic. The back panel of the dry and washer do not come together and if a wayward sock happens to get loose - it is lost behind the appliance because of the gaping hole.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works GREAT!

Have had the dryer for a couple of months. Gets cloths dry and little increase in the electric bill. Does take a little bit getting use to the settings but they are easy to understand once you use the machine.
