I've used GE Washer and Dryers for over 30 years. This is my third dryer - the first was purchased in 1987, the second in 2000, and now this one , recently purchased in 2017. I can't think of another product - other than my washers (3) purchased and each used for approximately the same amounts of time - that have lasted and performed so well as these products. If shopping for an appliance, I strongly suggest that you select GE brands. I can attest to the longevity and superiority of their products.

Only problem is the door needs to be pushed closed very firmly in order to operate. After 2-3 shoves, sometimes need to slam it shut.

I can't say anything bad about this electric dryer. It's extremely quiet and dries clothes beautifully. I'm glad it has a buzzer to tell me when the clothes are done otherwise I would never hear it. It has plenty of drying options to handle just about any drying load.
