Quality is as Expected

At the time of writing this review, the dryer has been in my possession for about two months. After much in-store contemplation, I decided to purchase this with the accompanying washer. Paid for a split-phase with neutral and ground cord so if anyone is handy with electrical, the wiring should be self-explanatory. Performs as expected, plenty of options to configure a drying cycle, which includes variable temperature and timed dry, two features I explicitly was wanting.
One oddity I've noticed, mainly when removing and returning the lint trap, the incandescent cavity light flickers, as if the wiring to the light is somewhat loose. Haven't decided to tackle fixing it yet but I just found that odd. Could be that the socket or the light base is not proper size so is loose in the fixture, but only a minor annoyance. Wouldn't stop me from buying the thing.

Our previous front loader dryer stopped working. We had already purchased a top loading washer, so we researched top loader dryers. Most everyone gave GE high praise.The model GTD42EASJWW had all of the features we needed and it was easy to reverse the dryer door for convenience to our washer. So far we love it. Cloths come out with very few wrinkles on cotton cycle.

drying issue

the lint handler MUST be cleaned out every load or the clothes will not dry. the lint handler is super small so sometimes has to be cleared out a couple of times per load (for like towels) or drying takes too long/ or not dried at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
