Failed 13 months after purchase

Purchased on 12/30/2018. Today, 1/27/2000, dryer failed completely. Timer wouldn't turn and now it won't turn on at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love everything about this dryer!

When my 13 year old dryer died I purchased the Maytag mate to my washer and immediately knew I made a huge mistake. The lint screen on top was upside down, hence the dryer was filled with lint (and needed to be vacuumed out every day). The dryer had zero power and it took three drying cycles to dry a handful of laundry. It went back to the store and I purchased this GE model. It is amazing. Huge door, huge drum, the lint screen is a great size and right where it should be- inside the dryer. Easy to clean and it works. The drying time is phenomenal. No need to use more than one drying cycle to have my laundry fully dry. Love this dryer!

This is a simple dryer, no fancy features but dries well. The signal letting you know your cycle has completed is very annoying even at it’s lowest level. I would have liked a little better signal feature.

Poor performance

I have purchased three GE washers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. The machine vibrates, knocks, and bounces around the room while making loud noises. I have to unplug it to control it. Sorry excuse for a washer.
