I bought this over a month ago to replace my 17 year old dryer that still worked but not very well and it looked very bad anyway. I bought this with the matching washer also. It does a great job of drying the clothes. I like the lint filter in the door instead of on top my old one did and I always hated that. I like the fact it has a light in it, my old washer did not and you can change the way the door opens and I had to do that where it was setting. I will have to say it was a bit difficult to do because the opposite screw holes did not fit the screws from the other side to well and I had to force them in to the new holes. But it can be done and I did it. The only thing I dislike about this dryer is the dang buzzer. It is so loud and does not just go off once and be done. If you do not take the clothes out on the first buzz it will keep spinning and buzz you again until you do about 6 times. Even though it has a button on it to adjust the loudness it does not have any effect on it at all. You can turn the buzzer completely off that is the only option you have. But I want to be reminded that the clothes are finished when I have my mind on other things I just don't want to be shell shocked in doing so. I guess the main thing is it does the job for drying clothes.

great dryer. love the simplicity of it. only thing I don't like is the sound it makes when done. but I can shut it off. like the set we got so much we bought another set for my parents.

The dryer is fine except for the lint filter. Lint escapes the filter and settles under the filter. I can not reach the lint due to the narrow opening. I've tried using narrow objects to reach the lint but have had no success. I clean the filter after every use but it still escapes some how or the other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So happy I bought this dryer. It was not my original choice....but, found out the one I thought I wanted was not going to fit through the opening door to get to our basement. Had to look for another dryer.....saw the GE and new it would fit. I am SO GLAD that I did! It does a GREAT JOB drying my clothes.....it is very quiet.....will not be my last GE laundry room purchase!

The old dryer that came with the house when I bought it, finally gave out and bought the dryer to match the washer I bought when I moved in. Couldn't be happier. I wish I wouldn't have waited so lone.

Bought this 3 months ago and it is much more quiet than I thought it would be. Clothes come out clean and almost dry. Saves on drying time.
