I love my new dryer. The tumble drum is nice and large. Clothes dry very quickly.

The dryer works great and does a good job. The alarm at the end of the cycle is loud enough to hear. We are extremely satisfied with the operation of this appliance.

Doesn't dry well

It takes forever to dry clothes with this dryer. Things that normally should dry in 20 to 30 minutes take an hour or more and towels and heavier items take two hours. I do not overload the dryer (I'm 72 years old and I know how to load a dryer for best results and how to read an instruction booklet to properly use an appliance.) I bought GE because I thought it had a good reputation but it seems that nothing is as good as it used to be in "the good old days". I would not recommend this dryer. It seems to have good features and eventually it does dry but even for the good price I paid it certainly was not worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
