Dries More Quickly than (vintage) GE It Replaced

Purchased this dryer (with a GE washer) to replace a set that was 31+ years old (The washer died a natural death, but the dryer was still going strong, and the dealer who sold us the new pair and took the old away assured me that the dryer would be donated to a local family in need of it.) Pleased with the capacity of the new dryer's drum and the speed with which clothing, sheets, towels, etc., dry with all that room for tumbling. The speed may be due to my routinely using the extra-spin feature on the washer, as well, but the combination is allowing me to get through several loads of laundry much more quickly than I could before, so I'm a happy camper!

Light Don't work most of the time.

The light don't work most of the time. I tightened it, took it out and put it back in and it still don't work. If you mess with it you can sometimes get it to work. We only had it about a month. My husband didn't think there was one in it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
