Excellent Dryer

GE GTD42EAS Dryer dries clothes quickly and has a variety of setting for the different types of loads. It also has a reversable door which makes moving laundry from the washer to dryer much easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This dryer seems to use less heat and produce less lint. At first we had to get use to the feel of clothes that felt warm. We weren't sure the clothes were dry. They were.

Piece of junk!

I bought a GE washer and dryer set in July and they have both been a disappointment. The dryer stopped working (wouldn’t start when button pushed) yesterday and I’m pretty sure the extended tumble hasn’t been working the whole time (honestly haven’t paid super close attention to the extended tumble but I don’t ever remember hearing it start up again after the initial completion). The washer stopped working after just 3.5 weeks!! I would rate these ZERO stars if I could. To have both go out within weeks-months of initial purchase is completely unacceptable. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works really well. Dries Quickly. Initially purchased a Whirlpool. Hated it. Took 2 hours to dry ANYTHING. I am so glad I chose this GE Dryer.
