Not impressed with GE’s quality control

Bought the dryer because I liked the size and style. What I didn’t like was not even 10 days after purchase the belt was completely shredded. Then I had to wait another 10 days to get a service technician out to repair it. The technician found a screw that was installed where is should not be. Does GE have any quality control ? Line inspectors to ensure the equipment is correct ?? It appears not , this should’ve never happened .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought dryer to match the washer. It's definitely an upgrade from my grandmother's old one. Great features, compact but large capacity to dry large loads.
