Unsure if I just got a bad machine, but I've been using it less than a month and it is not working. My daughter has a very similar dryer and hers is fine. GE is known for quality, but this machine is not good.

The only draw back is the dial to set the drying cycle is very hard to turn because it is smooth and hard to get a good grip on.

I lived without a dryer for 2 years. I had my old one repaired 2X then gave up. This GE dryer dries my items quickly and I love how soft my clothes come out.
I would recommend this to a friend!
