Writing this review six months after installation. Have never had a GE dryer in the past. It is adequate but seems cheaply made compared to other brands I have used. My main complaint with this dryer is the lint filter. I clean it after each load, yet lint accumulates in the bottom of the slot where the filter fits and I am unable to remove it even with my dryer cleaning kit that attaches to the vacuum cleaner hose. Also, lint accumulates on the gasket that is on the dryer door. Otherwise, no issues with this dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wouldn't buy it again

When cycle is over, I open the door and there is a puff of dog hair that is just sitting on top of the lint tray. And yes, I empty the lint tray every single load as recommended. Don't like the open to the side door, better with it opening down. Overall, meh.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my new dryer , has all the features on it that I need. It’s quiet, and very efficient . Dryed my heavy throw rug the other day for the first time and did really well in my dryer .
