GE Dryer-could be hotter

This dryer is large and has very simple to use dials. The door shuts hard. The sensor dry runs longer than it needs to after clothes are actually dry-at least 15 minutes too long:( Can't imagine any need for the extra tumble setting. Unfortunately towels don't dry as quick. It appears to not run as hot as my old machine (it was a GE too!) Not good for a tree hugger. Found the 80 minute timer setting to be a bit disappointing too as it needs to be checked at 30 minutes as it cycles to a much cooler temp. For bulky items if you don't turn it back around to 80 it will run 30 minutes of low heat and items don't dry. Now light weight items tumble dry very well. Depends on your needs.

I have enjoyed my new purchase immensely. The cycles all seem shorter and more efficient than my 20yo retired dryer! I like being able to adjust the volume of the cycle finish buzzer-a little detail, but still nice. There’s enough cycle options for all my needs. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for good value for the money.
