I am very happy with this dryer! It is large so that my comforters fit in it and dries with one round!

Purchased this unit on 3-2-1016 and installed the following day. As long as you use the extra spin cycle on the washer, you clothes will dry in the recommended time set by the GE's engineers. If you do not use the extra spin cycle, you will more than likely have to reset the dryer for extended dry cycle. The hottest cycle is not as hot as my old dryer. Miss my old GE dryer. My children felt after 60 years of marriage I should have my second matching pair of appliances. (My washer was what was needing replaced). Have always owned GE appliances, and wish I had the kids purchase a different brand this time around. Dryer, however, is better than the washer. Very quiet! Dryer lint tray / trap is almost next to impossible to remove!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
