It’s so quiet!

Three weeks since I installed it and it’s doing just fine. I’ll be comparing it to the old Amanda I had for several years.
As far as sound, it’s super quiet! Still can’t get over how quiet it is compared to our older Amana that was getting loud. Setup was easy. I wish the terminals were on top like my old one but my original cord was still long enough thankfully. I wish it came with the power cord strain relief as I didn’t realize I’d need it and now I’ll have to go get one separately.
I like the door handle being on top but the door definitely shuts much louder and doesn’t quite open 180° like our last one did. It makes getting things out of the wash a bit more cumbersome since you have to lean over the door and reach further due to the door not opening as far. Others have said they’ve had a problem with the door popping open but I have not but seems very tight when shut . I did take the time to level the dryer so maybe that helps. I love the light. I’ve never had a dryer with a light before and didn’t realize how useful it can be if you just want a specific piece of clothing out of the dryer for now.
As others have said, the dial is a little weird because you can’t tell exactly which position it’s in since there are no clicks or any kind of feedback. I don’t have a problem turning the dial but I can see people with arthritis having a hard time turning it.
I like the lint trap of our old dryer much better. You just had to lift a plastic guard then scoop out the lint with your hand. This one forces you to pull out a flimsy feeling plastic lint filter and scoop off the lint. It’s a little cumbersome getting all the lint off but no big deal. With the old dryer if you wanted to thoroughly wash the lint trap with soap and water you had to take two Phillips screws out to pull it out first, where as this one you just pull it up and out without tools so that’s a bit easier for thorough cleaning. I am concerned about the longevity of the lint trap though and being able to find a replacement when it goes bad.
Overall I’m happy with it other than comparing a couple minor things to my old dryer that I’ll miss. It’s quiet, seems to dry well, and so far no issues after three weeks.

Easy to use with useful and effective features

This dryer replaced another brand dryer that I'd used for 8 years. What a difference! Better exhaust and lint screen and the dials are quiet and smooth to the touch. It does what the instructions say using the correct settings. I was happy after the first load of sheets and towels were dried.
