Dryer Knob hard to turn, either way. Brand new.

Very excited about getting our new W&D combo set. The dryer knob is hard to turn either way. I have arthritis and this is posing a problem. I see it is typical, so is there a solution? I don't want to return them.

I had high hope for this dryer and have been totally let down. the second time it was used the sensor didn’t work leaving clothes I thought were dry soaking wet and moldy. Not only that. When the start. Button is pressed it arcs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome dryer for our family

Love the simplicity and efficiency of this GE dryer. It's very quiet compared to our old Kenmore unit. We also appreciate the large capacity of this machine. Made the mistake of setting the dryer signal to its loudest setting, when it went off it sounded like the game ending buzzer of a basketball game in intensity and duration. The lint trap is a little on the small side for a dryer of this capacity and sometimes has to be cleaned out during a cycle if drying super fluffy towels or blankets.
I would recommend this to a friend!
