Awesome dryer

This dryer is awesome. Large capacity so clothes come out fluffed and without wrinkles. It has all the right features for every type of load, from heavy jeans to delicates.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am satisfied with my new dryer for the price paid. The door is not a solid feel so I close & latch carefully. The lint filter seems very flimsy, and I would anticipate needing to replace it periodically. The end of cycle buzzer, I find annoying. It is different from my previous machine which periodically sounded briefly at moderate intervals. This buzzer is loud and long, except on the lowest volume setting, which I can ignore easily if I hear it. It accomplishes the purpose of getting the load out of the dryer! The dryer does a good job of drying the clothes and has a good variety of settings to choose.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cross-bars should span width of drum!

When drying just an item or two, they end up laying in the area between the end of the cross-bars and front side of dryer. Without cross-bars extending the full width of the drum to "tumble" the item(s), they just lay/slide against the rotating drum and wrinkles set in!!! Very irritating!!!

Happy So Far!

We've only had our dryer for a few months, but overall we love it. I love all the options and it dries well and much quicker than my older dryer. The few negatives I have are small - the door latch is tight and I almost have to slam the door for it to shut; I would prefer to have the door open down instead of side to side (but that wasn't an option on many dryers); and the buzzer when they dryer is finished goes off every 20-30 seconds (about 5 or six times), which to me is a bit annoying. The only bigger problem that we had, is the first dryer that was delivered and installed was defective and made a very loud screeching noise when on. It was replaced and the new one is great, but that was an inconvenience of my time and took several weeks to get the new one.

Gas leak

The first GE dryer had a gas leak inside. My whole basement filed with gas! The repair man said they have to order the part. The store replaced that dryer with another GE dryer, it leaked gas too. The gas was not coming from the gas line hook up, the leak was inside the dryer.

Poor design, very light weight as it moves just slightly leaning against, poorly constructed.....I wish I had my old dryer back that lasted 40 years. I give this dryer about 3 years, at the most.
