Extremely loud.

This is a very loud washing machine. I would not have purchased this brand if I had a choice.

we purchased the dryer at the end of november 2019 and it was fine for a couple of months. It then started to make a weird howling type noise whenever it heated up. The service technicians were very nice and virtually replaced everything that moved on the inside of the dryer and the noise persisted. The last technician finally orderd a replacement because we needed an exorcist not a repairman. The new dryer has worked well so far with no problems and my wife really likes it. We just wish it had been replaced sooner. technicians and customer service were both very nice, no problems there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far, we've been very happy with the dryer. I am not a fan of digital controls, so I researched locally available dryers that were able to be vented through the bottom and w/o digital controls, and purchased this GE model. Only rated four stars because vent knockout that is in the bottom panel is not aligned to the rear opening. Long term, I guess I will know whether this results in leakage of the vent inside the dryer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Door is a little hard to open

Takes hours to dry the clothes

I purchased the gas dryer and it does not get very hot. It took over 2 hours to dry 3 pairs of jeans and 6 cotton shirts. My old dryer worked better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
