This works great ! The only problem is my wife has too many options ! Quiet , and solidly built . Also the tub is huge ! Great product .

It's a basic dryer and it does what it should

I had to find a gas dryer to fit in a tight spot to replace my broken 13 year old dryer. This GE was a good fit and provided all I needed which is to say it's your basic dryer. It's fairly quiet, and works quickly to dry my clothes. I'm not a huge fan of the design. The top is slightly sloped so less room to place folded clothes on top of the machine. I also don't particularly like the way the door opens to the side. I find my dry clothes easily fall out onto the floor. I truly miss my old dryer door that opened from the top down. Oh well....

Large drum capacity and does not take up too much space in my wash room. I like the many drying options. Works great and I am so glad I purchased this dryer. Replaced a Samsung that took up more space with less dryer capacity.

Works okay, but takes forever to dry towels

Overall, I do like the simplicity, features, and look of the dryer, but compared to the one it is replacing it takes quite a while for it to do larger loads or towels compared to the last one. The rigid ducting is brand new and clear, so it is not due to that and everything else (besides the dryer itself) checks out. It routinely takes close to two hours or more on the timed setting (old LG took about 40 minutes) for larger loads or anything with towels to dry on the highest heat setting and the laundry when removed from the dryer, while somewhat warm isn’t all that warm to the touch. I am not sure if it is just the design or if there is a fault with a thermistor or something. I know the gas burner is working, but it just doesn’t produce as much heat as my old one. I will say that this one does produce a much stronger airflow than my old one, but the heat production just seems to pale in comparison. Everything else about the dryer I do like, I just wish it worked a little more efficiently (especially for a brand new dryer).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOve everything about it!

This was the first washer and dryer we saw when we went to purchase new ones. Liked the features and GE is a reputable brand. Did not look at others and purchased immediately. Very happy with purchase so far.
