Takes for ever to dry - not enough heat

Had for one month. Tried all settings and cannot get items to dry. Towels take over 2 hours and even shirts and other items take over an hour. May have finally found a setting that actually dries clothes. It is temperature setting- cotton regular and on the timer settings cotton-more dry. Should not have to do this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When was the last time the ductwork from dryer to outside your home was cleaned. it should be done every couple of years. When we got the new dryer it made the old dryer we had been using as reliable as using a clothesline on a rainy day. Just pick how dry you want your laundry to come out then set it and forget it.

Love the large knobs

I’ve always bought GE products they have never let me down. I love the large knobs on this one. Better than the little knobs my other dryer had which was also a GE.

Faulty... MY HOUSE COULD HAVE BLOWN UP

This appliance has a gas leak from inside of the unit. The supplier ABT is removing it from my home. Per Nicor, the installation kit was done correctly, however gas was emitting from within the unit. Imagine our surprise coming hone the day after installation to a house FULL of gas. Brand new dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
