Don't buy this
on February 7, 2016

I bought this dryer and have had it for a few days. The dryer does not work. After trying to dry my clothes (one load) for 3 hours and used every setting it does not dry my clothes. My clothes are still wet and I had to take my clothes to the laundromat to dry them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent capacity and ease of use, except cancelling a cycle once started is challenging.

Disappointed

I had my old dryer for almost 18 years, bought it off a friend so I knew it was at least 20 years old before I got it but it had been in storage for half that time. I used to have to run a 40 minute drying cycle. This one, I need to run at double that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Towels are now Polka-Dotted
on July 5, 2017

Washed a load of whites with bleach, selected the 2 rinse and spin option then next load washed 1 and 1/2 sets of brand new dark brown towel sets. Worked fine, washed a third load with the other 1 1/2 set of brand new dark brown towels. Removed them from washing machine to find they had become dark brown with pinkish red polka dotted brown towels during the washing cycle. No idea how bleach was retained and only impacted second load of new dark brown towels, but clearly was disappointed upon removing the now polka dotted towels from this washer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Didn't receive proper information or equipment

I would like to know why there is no natural gas to propane gas conversion kit supplied with the new dryer - also there is no mention in any of the provided "instruction books" about requiring a conversion.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your dryer. GE gas dryers are factory-equipped for natural gas. Most GE gas dryers can be converted for LP gas, which requires an optional conversion kit. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. To review the kit designed for your model, please take a look at our following link:
We hope this helps. The optional LP conversion kit contains all necessary parts and the installation instructions needed to properly convert the dryer. We also recommend to have a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas dryer to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. Thank you, again, for your evaluation.

The first dryer I bought had a gas leak, then I learned you do not service. Dealer replaced that one with this one and now it rattles constantly. I've always been supportive an please with GE, but now, not so much
