Takes too long to dry

2 hours for a load of towels to dry is way too long!! The vent HAS been checked to ensure proper ventilation. Also the towels were appropriately damp from the spin cycle of the washer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this gas dryer to go along with our GE Washer. They both look great together and we love the features on the new gas dryer. Large capacity tumbler, multiple fabric settings and the results are exceptional.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dryer lasted 15 minutes- no warranty support

Gas dryer lasted 15 minutes before shut off completely. Plumber that installed it said thermal cut off tripped because exhaust too hot. 2 attempts to get warranty support said no technicians in southeastern indiana. 3 try yielded a tech in Ohio who doesn't answer phone and has no voicemail. Lots of bad reviews though. He responded by threatening to sue anyone writing bad reviews about him. This is GE support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It dries fine but sometimes it makes loud "thunking" noises. Not always, but still a concern.

its not dryng i thought i was going nuts after a couple of months of checking gas line ect.. has to be the dryer. really annoyed.

End of cycle alarm is very loud should you need it, but can also be turned off.
Laundry is one of the most used appliances in our home. We regularly run four loads, one after another, and have not been disappointed.
