Doesn't seem to dry clothes very well on timed setting. Door latch can be hard to shut and hard to.open.

Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this concern. We hate to hear you’ve had an issue with clothes not getting dry enough on the timed setting, and some difficulty with the latch. We know any issues like that would be an inconvenience, and would like to help.

For the issue with clothes not drying well, you may want to check the circuit breaker or fuse to ensure adequate power is reaching the unit, and check the ducting to make sure there’s no obstruction. Additional troubleshooting tips are available in the manual, on page 10: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90543-2.pdf . Selecting one of the other drying options may also be best, depending on the load you’re drying. We hope this information helps.

Washer received would not word, they sent a new one. The dryer is now not working and have had less than a year.

We truly hate to hear you’re having an issue with the dryer not working; we know how frustrating that must be to deal with, especially when it’s less than a year old and you’ve had trouble with the washer formerly. This isn’t the great ownership experience we want you to have, and we’d like to help.

After reviewing our system, we do see you have reached out to us to see about scheduling service. We are confident the technician who assists during your appointment will be able to properly diagnose and repair the issue. If you did need to reach back out to our Service Department for any reason, they are available at 1-800-432-2737.

If you’d like to try troubleshooting in the meantime, we do have a section on that in the manual starting on page 9: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90543-2.pdf . If the dryer won’t tumble at all, or won’t heat, you may want to check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure adequate power is reaching the unit. Unplugging the dryer from power for a couple minutes before reconnecting can also help in some cases, as this resets the machine’s electrical components.

Simple, easy to use, great capacity

Little bit more capacity than our last GE dryer that we just replaced after 14 years. Love the option to turn off the end of cycle buzzer! Overall, it works great and the extra capacity helps dry things faster with more space to tumble.

I’ve had this dryer for a few months and was surprised how nice it looked for being at the lower end of the price range. It works great and isn’t loud.

SINCE THE MOMENT I GOT INTO MY NEW HOUSE THE DRYER WOULDN'T DRY. MY IT SPINS AND HEATS BUT MY CLOTHES STAY DAMPED. I HAVE TO LET MY CLOTHES DRY AND THEN WHEN DRY I PUT THEM IN THE DRYER TO FLUFF THEM. I WILL CALL SO THE COMPANY CHECKS OUT THE DRYER ADN INSTALLATION AND HOPEFULLY CAN FIND A SOLUTION.
