The dryer is easy to use. The dials are clear and intuitive. It dries clothes well and the come out smelling and looking fresh without wrinkes.

2x longer to dry

It seems to take 2x longer to dry than my old dryer. At least it gets the clothes dry eventually. I got a bargain price so I am happy with that part of the process.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design

Have been very unhappy with this dryer. As it takes forever to dry anything. The very worst thing about it is that the lint screen catch's minimal of the lint. And when you take out the screen, it's so deep in there that you can NOT get the lint OUT!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend sorting the small and large clothes before loading the cycle. It helps to improve washing and drying performance. When clothes are taking a long time to dry or do not seem to be drying, the below troubleshooting tips can correct the problem. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
To remove the lint under the screen area we recommend using an extendable lint brush or use a vacuum with the hose attachment to clean this area. For more tips we recommend taking a look at this link below:

Good Basic Dryer

I like the dryer because it is close to the plain straight forward simple dryer I replaced. However, the lint trap it not smooth to remove, and there were some sharp edges on it that I had to file down so that my clothes wouldn't snag. Also, the large dial is not easy to turn. It's not hard, just not smooth. It does seem to work very well and was just the ticket for me because I wanted one as close to my old school one as possible. I wish the door opened top to bottom so that when you open it, your clothes don't fall onto the floor.
