Could be better

Not impressed with dryer! Cannot use timer for short time with heat! Door sounds very tinny when closing! Loved my Maytag much better! Did not get one because door opened incorrectly for my location!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the size of this dryer I can put anything in it including bedding and it be dry in one cycle

GE gas dryer stopped working after just three uses

We bought a newly constructed home and ordered brand new GE appliances through the builder, who installed them for us. The gas dryer worked beautifully three times. The fourth time we tried to use it, it simply wouldn't start. The GFCI wasn't the issue, the breaker wasn't tripped, and the unit was still plugged in. This happened on a Friday, and try getting anyone to fix it on a Friday! I have no idea how to get service under warranty, so we had to call a local handyman - likely a fuse inside the dryer itself. Fuse blown after just three uses??? We have a home full of GE appliances and now our confidence in them is blown. I will stick GE with the handyman's bill. and better get reimbursed for it. GE isn't off to a very good start with us. We had Samsung appliances in the past, and NEVER had an issue with any of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what I expected!!!

Takes a long time to dry, if left on for 1 1/2 hours still damp on one setting. If I put on 70 minutes shrinks clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just installed on 9/09, but so far love the features. Last dryer lasted 28 years, hope this one does as well.
