Great dryer

Dries fast, is sleek, quiet and efficient. It took at little while to get set up as we have a bottom vented gas dryer, so had to hire HVAC

Just took the dryer out of the box and the timer didn't work and therefore the cycle end buzzer didn't work - had to call for warranty service which is a hassle because we have to make arrangements to be home PLUS re-arrange the laundry room to have easy access for the repairman
The lint catcher is cheapo - not easy to pull out for cleaning, very hard plastic which will break sooner rather than later it definitely makes the dryer look cheap-end - Disappointing because this GE gas dryer replaced the one that my mother had for 25 years (which is still working - just wanted a matching set and I had previously purchased the matching washer)
The dryer door catch did not line up with the spot it is supposed to be inserted so it takes extra careful closing to get it to hit right to latch closed
The door does not open completely flat

Uncertain of quality

This dryer is new to me and I’m still getting used to it, but the setting knob feels cheap and it’s hard to move. And the drying cycle is uncertain. To me the optimal setting for drying should mean that the cycle stops when the clothes are dry. But I have to check the clothes periodically to see if they are dry. This is unacceptable.
