We bought this dryer as a set and had to be replaced after two months because of black stuff all over clothes. Received a new one and converted to liquid propane once again. After preforming the conversion, dryer smells of propane after each use and even when not in use. All lines were inspected and can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Seems like it’s coming from within the dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help out with the odor you are noticing on your dryer. An incorrect flame size and color will result in a slight gas odor. The normal flame color is blue with a slight amount of yellow on the tip. If you notice that the flame is yellow, we suggest scheduling service. My new dryer is streamlined and stylish, fit well through my basement door, whereas we had to take the door off to fit my bulky old dryer. Great variety of settings for all needs from gentle to cotton. You have an option for a cool down phase if you choose. I love the silver drum which is sure never to rust. I can't understand why anyone would pay so much extra just to have a stainless steel dryer when they could pay a great price for a stylish, well crafted dryer like this one. I would highly recommend this dryer which is both beautiful and practical. It looks great and works great! I am looking forward to many years of nicely dried clothes with energy saving features for a lower bill! This is the first GE product I have bought based on so many excellent reviews that I read, and my private contractor also recommended GE as an excellent product line. Thank you for making an outstanding product with great features that I can put my faith in for many loads of beautifully dried clothes that come out of the dryer fresh and smooth. Thank you GE!! I will definitely be purchasing your appliances in the future and will recommend them to friends family and co-workers!
