Nice and Simple

We recently had our other high end dryer go out and decided to go back to a trusted brand. No one in our area would work on our dryer and as such we could never get service. This was just installed today however we feel confident that this GE dryer will do the trick and do it right. Looking forward to many years of service!!

Although it just came yesterday, I love it so far! It dries clothes/towels/blankets quickly and thoroughly. Also love that the lint trap doesn’t cause lint to fly all over the place making a mess.

Not great out of the box!

The gas was not igniting and caused the whole dryer drum to be filled with natural gas!!! This was right after installation. Waiting so long to get the dryer put a large weight on my wife and I to get laundry done at my parents and in laws between all our kids activities and work was ridiculous. Had to wait longer because of the issue! VERY DISAPPOINTING as I really do favor GE appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

EASY TO USE, GOOD TUMBLER

This is your basic clothes dryer. My old one was a workhorse, so I have high expectations. This dryer has performed amicably so far. It is a bit narrower then older, similar models. The dry time is best left to over 40 mins, any shorter and you'll be spinning that dial again. I have to say that on an appliance, I like the look of a lot of knobs and dials; 'Yowser, what a lot of dials, must be a good dryer!' This unit has a few extra knobs then normal, and I found out I was wrong, more knobs equals more time trying to figure out which dial to turn, nobody has time for that. I'm generally happy with the knobs on here though, as most of them are kind of dumb (buzzer noise level, seriously?), so I don't have to pay any attention to them. The lint trap is a really cool rounded shape, but it isn't as easy to insert back in as the rectangle lint traps, it reminds me of those square peg, round hole toys some people use to confuse small children and dogs. The lint trap also gets full every dry, you should empty it every single time, which is ok for me, cause emptying the lint trap feeds my ocd, much in the same way as watching pimple popping videos can do for some people. Overall, I give this dryer four stars and one Downey fabric softener sheet, it would get five stars and a Snuggle sheet, except for the drying time and the round lint catcher. Worth the money though, and I recommend it!
