Works decent, takes a while to dry a load

My dryer went out and was irreparable. My home warranty covered a replacement unit. Of the 3 choices this GE dryer is what i picked due to the high capacity. It's great at removing lint from clothes. It's simple to use and is plenty big enough. The only drawback thus far is the length of time it takes to dry a load of clothes. My old, circa early 70s, dryer dried a full load in 45 minutes or less. This unit takes a minimum of 90 minutes to dry a medium load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No moisture sensor in 2018

I bought another brand of dryer in 1984 that had a moisture sensor. Wouldn't you think that in 2018 all dryers in this price range would have one? This does not and I am disappointed. It takes too long to dry a load. I either have to set it on "less dry" or use the timed dry to prevent this from running well over one hour. And the door is hard to open and close.

Slow to Dry

I am disappointed on the time it takes for the clothes to dry. The door makes a grinding noise when it is opened or closed.

It's just a basic dryer that does simple drying of clothing. No bells and whistles. It dries the clothes onthe highest setting.
