Bought this dryer 2 months ago and it has been working great from day one. This is the second GE dryer we have owned and so far we are very satisfied.

GE dryer

I got a G.E. dryer to replace a 40 year old Maytag gas dryer. I am so sorry I got the GE. Mainly because it is so noisy. There is a buzzing that comes periodically during the drying cycle this is almost as loud as the buzz when the load is done. I would take my Maytag back in an instant.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this dryer to replace a fancy LG dryer that did everything but actually dry effectively or efficiently. I wanted a simple dryer that just worked and this GE dryer does that and it is just wonderful. It takes less time to dry and has all the features that you really need. As other reviewers have mention the door need just a little extra push to close but it is not a serious concern for me. It is a great dryer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
