[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just moved into a new home. No funiture yet but the Bose system is up and running. WIth the amp and the 301s on pedestals, the music reverbs through the whole house. AWESOME does not come close to describing the experience. I would make this purchase over and over again.

Need an Optical input on this.

Great configuration, Bose quality sound, but lacks a Optical Input. Would make it so much more usable.

Tin Can Sound

Assuming this was a great AMP, I purchased this thinking it would be great for my outdoor system.
I own SoundTouch everything for the house and It was just going to be a natural fit.
However I been using this for a few years with the 151 Outdoor Bose Speakers and it sounds like a tin can. Over the last few years, I figured it was the speakers and not the amp. I replaced the speakers, still sounds bad. I replaced all the wiring that ran through my walls, still sounds bad.
Needless to say, it must be the amp.
On top of the poor sound quality, the connection to wifi is also awful.
Dont recommend this at all.

This is certainly unusual feedback and we can assure you that this is not the normal behavior of the Amplifier.

I would strongly recommend that you contact our Technical Support line as we believe there could be an issue somewhere with the SA-5 and you should be experiencing a much higher quality of sound.

Terrible experience - just paid for aggravation

Drops the wi fi constantly, can not connect to Ethernet, hours of aggravating set up for poor quality music that drops constantly. I could not imagine such poor quality from Bose.

I wired it to B&W CM9, sound is fine but not the best for these speakers.
After 2 months the tweeters burnt and B&W dealer stated that its the amplifier issue and i had to buy new pair of tweeters

Very poor sound

This along with the expensive speakers that go with it has very poor sound quality and I can’t believe the speakers aren’t Bluetooth or WiFi but you have to run speaker wire to connect them. Not happy with this purchase at all ! And very disappointed in the Bose quality on this product!!!
