Was very happy with this blender but have not have for a long period of time and the bottom base cracked and leaks all over. Trying to find replacement part but having trouble.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke within a year

I've learned my lesson keeping warranties and receipts. We've had this blender for about a year, and the bottom of the jar/mechanism started leaking. Next time, I will purchase a blender that at least had replacement parts.I hate thinking about throwing a blender in a landfill every year!

Faulty Design for Plastic Base

I wish I had seen this website before I bought this. Like so many others, I loved the function of the blender at first. Until, about a year after I bought it, the plastic base cracked and broke. Now I can no longer use the blender or blender jar.

2nd Black and Decker in a year both broken bases

I originally purchased a black and decker blender that had a clear base and it broke in half within a couple months of using. So I ended up purchasing this blender because I thought maybe it would handle smoothies better...but this base has craked as well about 8 months in...I just need a replacement base. I have 2 unusable blenders...this must be something black and decker is aware of...would appreciate any assistance in resolving issue.

Good Blender, No Parts

Had the Blender for a while and like everyone else, the base cracked and can't find a replacement. You would think after enough complaints. they would produce more parts for consumers.
