Plastic base broken within 6 months

Got this blender for Christmas and have loved using the smoothie feature for blending frozen coffee drinks. Very dissapointed that after six months the cheap clear plastic base has broken. This is the second black and decker blender I've purchased that has had parts break which are not replaceable or cost as much as a new blender.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic base broke within 6 months!

I have loved using this blender- but like the others who commented-the plastic base just recently cracked so I cannot use it anymore. This is disappointing considering I have only had it for about 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cracked Base

It seems to have lasted longer than most people's experience, but our base has cracked as well and we've had the blender less than a year. I was concerned about it when I unpacked it, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. The blender has performed well in that time. We make smoothies 3-4 times a week. If I can figure out where to buy a replacement part I would love to keep using it, but so far I haven't found the place to do that.

Base is Broken!

I really like how this blender works, but the base developed a crack after about 6 months of light use, and today it completely fell apart! I would like to know how I can replace this part.

Great blender with a faulty screw base design.

Base cracked after less than a year.

We have enjoyed this product, but the clear plastic base cracked after about 8 months of use. We are now unable to do anything with it...liquids just leak out. We have not been able to find a replacement part and will need to purchase a new blender. Sadly, I don't think it will be a Black and Decker.

Superior Customer Service!

I had bought this blender and had an issue with the smoothie attachment. I left a voicemail with customer service to see if I could get a replacement part and they were quick to resolve the problem. A customer representative called me back and was so professional and very apologetic. He was able to help me out within 5 minutes on the phone and I am so excited to know that my blender will be back to working again really soon!
I would recommend this to a friend!
