Blade/gasket unit eventually breaks

Pluses: Affordable, sleek looking blender that's great for family use.
Minuses: Just set up the unit for our daily smoothie only to find that the unit that holds the blade and gasket has broken. No part seem out there. Hate to send whole unit to landfill due to failure of small part when all else in great shape!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken plastic base

Plastic Part Broken at bottom of the Glass Unit

Like so many others I too am now having to deal w/ a broken plastic piece (the part that screws onto the main glass unit of the blender) and is now unusable. Help? Where can I get a replacement part?

Replacement part

I got this blender as a Christmas gift and it works great. I have had no issues with it at all and it makes great margarita and smoothies. Unfortunately I dropped the glass canister and it broke. I cannot find online where to buy a replacement canister, or do I need to buy a whole new blender?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great until the base broke
