Base made of cheap plastic

I wish I would have seen all these reviews before I bought this blender. I have been happy with everything except the jar base, which cracked after about 5 months.

Acceptable Blender. No replacement parts

Another plastic bottom piece

The plastic bottom cracked about 3 months after I bought it. Smoothie cup is great. Customer service please contact me regarding replacement.

Bad design

This blender worked great until the blade cutter separated from the base which cracked. It's made of plastic!

Plastic base broke after a month impossible to use

Blender is great but plastic cracked

The blender was working fine for what we needed it for, nothing fancy, just smoothies for breakfast. After about 5 months the bottom of the jar that holds the blade in place has completely cracked (made of plastic). I've scoured the Internet high and low and I can't find a replacement piece, why?! Please contact me so I can get this matter resolved!

Breaks easily

Good blender until the plastic bottom piece broke. There needs to be an option to buy only the glass blender! I do not want to buy an entire new blender. I just need the top blender piece!!

Stupid, fragile design

This blender broke the very first time I used it, thanks to a fragile piece of plastic that screws the blade in place. I replaced it at the retail store where I bought it, and now, a few months later, the exact same piece broke in the exact same place.
Of course, both times, the blender was full of liquid, which got all over the kitchen and made for some hilarious-but-infuriating photo ops.
I'll never ever buy this blender again, and I'll think twice about buying any Black & Decker product, if they're this poorly designed.
