WAS a nice blender

Bought this almost exactly one year ago (1/15/16) and the plastic base has cracked and finally broken just like so many of the other reviews. So far I have not been able to find a replacement piece so now, I have a red metallic lump taking up space in my kitchen. I realize I've gotten a little more use out of it than others but I rarely use it so I would have expected it to last a bit longer. I use the small travel cup frequently and that's held up just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks nice and worked fine for awhile

I've had this blender for a good amount of time and I don't use it much. I love how sturdy the actual cup is but the clear bottom base part broke almost in half while I was blending salsa. How can I go about purchasing the replacement part?

Somewhat disappointed

I bought a BL1830SGC-P about four months ago and the bottom part is broken already. The piece that twists on to the glass jar has cracked and a large piece has broken off. Would have expected something sturdier.

Party Over When the Plastic Base Cracks

The blender worked well and was all I ever needed. Unfortunately the plastic base near the threads cracked and I can't use it any longer. I would probably get rid of it altogether but my wife loves the smoothie jar. So now I have two blenders on my counter. I would be interested in purchasing a new base if reasonably priced and simple to do.

Epic Failure Too Frequently

I've had the base replaced after it cracked. Now the blade for the smoothie has degenerated and I'll have to replace it as well. I know that blenders don't have a great reputation for durability but maybe it's time to consider investing a top quality fusion model.

Great blender, but base broke as well

I bought this blender for my wife a little over a year ago, and she has loved it and used it all the time, since she enjoys having smoothies for breakfast. It has worked great since day 1, but, like many others, the plastic base part that connects the glass pitcher to the main blender has cracked, and is leaking. I've tried looking online for replacement parts, including on ServiceNet, but can't find the plastic base anywhere. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, since everything else on the blender still works great, and we love using it.
Overall, it's a great blender and I recommend it, but I just want to be able to get a replacement plastic base part.
I would recommend this to a friend!
