Broken base

Nice blender but the clear plastic base started leaking and cracked off tonight. Have been using it for approx 1 year. The plastic base for the glass carafe base should be redesigned or use a different plastic.

I feel like a broken record. Plastic jar base broke quickly after purchase and have been looking for months for a new one. Blender is worthless without it.

Cheap Plastic

As soon as I opened this blender from the box, I knew it wouldn’t last long due to the very thin and cheap plastic base. The rest is nice solid glass, very sturdy, and fairly easy to clean. But it was just a matter of time before the base would give out which it did. Like the other commenters, I tried researching a replacement base but couldn’t find anything

I bought the blender for my smoothies

I bought the blender for my smoothies using it on a daily basis my bottom base stopped working. I can hear the motor but it does not turn anymore. I like that it was a glass container and also the connection to the motor but it seems that the motor is not as useful for longevity as the glass container.

Plastic base cracked almost immediately

The blender itself is fine but its Achilles heel seems to be the plastic base, which cracked the third time we used it. I'm on the internet now trying in vain to find a replacement part - nowhere! Seems ridiculous to make glass and metal products like this so disposable. Mine is the BL1821 model, which I also can't find reference to anywhere, but it looks like this 1820, so maybe it's the same thing.
