Basic, but nice blender, can't find parts anywhere

Received as wedding gift. This blender was fine for a few months but the plastic base cracked and I have a small crack in the jar. I cannot find replacement parts anywhere, what's the deal?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Use it everyday

I bought this about 8 months ago. I use it everyday to make smoothies. About 6 weeks ago the 20oz smoothie cup began to leak from the blade attachment. Now it leaks every time I use it to blend smoothies. I have to clean the entire unit (blender base and all) every time I use it because the leak is so bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like many others here, the blender works fine, but the blender jar base has cracked. I'm not sure how much longer this will last.

It WAS awsome

I got this a while back and loved it. The power and the settings are great, but now the base has cracked and there is no way to fix it - it leaks all over. Its too bad. I would not dare buy another as I can see this happening again

great blender with a fatal flaw

We've really enjoyed our BL1820, especially the smoothie button. But like so many others, the clear base that screws onto the glass pitcher has cracked and now leaks like a sieve. I've looked all over for a replacement to no avail. Bummed.

Was great while it lasted

I bought a BL-1820 blender for my mom a little over a year ago. A few months ago the same plastic collar that seems to break on all of these blenders broke on hers. It's a shame that no website that sells parts for Black and Decker appliances sells parts for this blender.
