Does the job!

No problems so far and am pleased with quality of sound. The stadium and sports sound option is a tad exaggerated with echo and announcer voice overkills the actual game sound. Dolby and HD sound options sound very similar and cannot tell much of a difference. I suppose I still need to play with the system a bit more. Overall, I am satisfied with the system and would't expect anything less from Sony. Good quality for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this product was a replacement for my old sony receiver, definatly sounds better than my old one and was very easy to hook up and set up, price from sony's site was the best one I found, only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that I cannot watch tv or a video on dvd and listen to the radio like I could on my old one,
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this unit to replace a Sony STRAV1070. It really simplified my cabling. I hooked it to my Sony Bravia flat screen and used a Phillips power strip that had a feature that would turn on the Bose powered speaker system when it sensed the amp had turned on. Now I have it all controlled by my Comcast remote through the HDMI. Awesome!
This was a GREAT Christmas present, I had a Sony model that was similar but 13 years older and many watts lower... This reciever rocks!!!!! But I would still have to say that older Sony receiver I had still had juice left in it.. Great products!!!
Had this only a few days, but so far, so good. It was pretty easy to hook up to our DISH box and Sony 4K TV. Unable to get sound on Netflix and Amazon until I added a digital optical cable, but all is well, now. Used our VERY old surround sound speakers, and sound is good for our use. Simply a one room use, so no big window rattling sound necessary. Very good unit, for the money.
